ESGE Quality in Endoscopy: ERCP Symposium

It is our pleasure to announce the first symposium in the ESGE Quality in Endoscopy Symposium with the topic ERCP, will take place in Munich, Germany on October 6 – 8, 2011. ESGE is happy to be joining forces with the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) for this meeting.

The faculty consists mainly of young academic and non-academic “rising stars”. We feel strongly about involving junior faculty to lower the threshold for discussions and at the same time offering younger colleagues an opportunity to present and prove themselves as teachers. Leaders in this field are naturally also invited as faculty in order to ensure that learning objectives are reached and to structure the discussions.

Teaching objectives and format:

• Providing young promising people with state of the art knowledge on different topics concerning quality in endoscopy through lectures, case discussion and social networking

• Interactive participation in order to increase the learning effect; e.g. lectures will be supported by a debate platform plus voting system

• Discussion of the background, indications and implications of specific patient groups

• Showing complications of the techniques and their treatment
